Woman of the Match: Laura Hamer

Coach Comments: A windy day greeted the ladies on Sunday as we took the field against a top of the table contender in Glen Waverley. Another solid performance in trying conditions against a young side that moved the ball well across all three thirds. Our defensive line held strong once again keeping it to three either side of the halftime with the midfielder’s applying good pressure but at times struggled to find the final pass to unlock the front end. Laura Hamer, playing a deeper role in the mids was heroic, and deservedly our women of the match. Shout out to Helen in goals who made more than her fair share of saves, and Genna who was epic in defence alongside the usual suspects. The win is coming!
